# Zetta Genomics

Zetta Genomics was spun out of Cambridge University in 2018 with a clear vision to become the gold standard for genomic information in precision medicine.

We employ big data technology and best practice security to leverage genomic data benefits while preserving data privacy.

Our founders were integral contributors to both the [100,000 genomes](https://www.genomicsengland.co.uk/about-genomics-england/the-100000-genomes-project/) project and [OpenCB](http://opencb.org/) and the technology from these projects underpins what we do.

We’ve received £2.5 million in funding, with backing from a range of global deep tech investors like [APEX Ventures](https://www.apex.ventures/) and [Cambridge University Enterprises](https://www.enterprise.cam.ac.uk/).

This investment will further power our growth as we switch from a managed services model to a more developed SaaS product.

We have a technical team based in Valencia, with our commercial and operational teams loosely based around the Cambridge area.

We are a team of highly motivated and ambitious people who really care about the positive impact our product can have on wider society, in helping clinicians make faster, better decisions for optimum patient outcomes.
