Blue Circle Health is building a first-of-its-kind healthcare delivery system for people with Type 1 Diabetes, starting with those living in underserved communities. Unlike traditional healthcare, Blue Circle Health is entirely philanthropically funded with an initial grant of $45M from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, a leading funder of diabetes research and care. This means every aspect of Blue Circle Health will be designed to do what’s best for our patients without the constraints of traditional healthcare reimbursement policies. Our comprehensive approach to care - including peer coaching, insurance navigation, delivery of free supplies, behavioral health and diabetes care - is intended to keep people with T1D healthy at no cost to them. To help as many families as possible, we will employ cutting edge information technology to detect problems sooner and remove barriers that prevent people from getting the care they need.
