Ensures employees perform work safely and that equipment is maintained, and processes are carried out in compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (H&S/E) policies and procedures. Takes proactive measures to address H&S/E issues. When required, leads investigations, and enforces compliance as applicable.
Provides guidance to employees on work requirements and expectations. Ensures employees perform effectively and comply with various company policies, procedures and practices including Plant Rules, Plant Health & Safety Rules, Attendance, Human Rights, and others as applicable. Addresses any employee compliance or performance issues through MCI's corrective action process.
Ensures compliance with terms of Collective Bargaining Agreement. Responds and addresses employee/labor relations matters as appropriate.
Maintains and enforces department standards of neatness, order and cleanliness to meet \"5 S\" targets. Carries out other projects or initiatives aimed at advancing MCI's business effectiveness. Any other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Previous leadership experience with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the transportation, automotive or bus industry.
Experience working in unionized environment is an asset.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, and a track record of dealing with progressive discipline issues in a constructive fashion.

POSITION SUMMARY
Accountable for completion of engineering design tasks and projects from concept to implementation in production. This will include all related design activities, calculations, communications, drawings, & bills of material. Reports to the NPD Engineering Lead.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Executes and completes Engineering design tasks and project assignments in support of prototyping/testing & product development activities per NPD product development processes.

POSITION SUMMARY
To lead the Materials Department to World Class. This position is responsible for materials planning associated with the Materials department. The Materials Planner will improve the department and themselves through training and continuing education.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Coordinate planning for materials department.
Coordination for processing materials to POU location by requirement date.
Responsible for inventory accuracy and achieving inventory goals.
Responsible for maintaining sub-inventories.
Responsible for MRP; work MRP messages and monitor daily OAS (order action summary).
Responsible for discrete job accuracy; maintaining accuracy of 500 series requirements and accuracy of reject requirements.
Responsible for work orders being released to manufacturing on a timely basis; ensure release planned orders to release dates.
Ensure all aspects of the MRB processes are followed.
Ensure accurate implementation of Engineering Change Orders to released jobs.
Ensure the accuracy of data entered in the system.
Ensure compliance to ISO Procedures, work instructions, 5P’s and promote continuous improvement within the department.
Ensure materials planning in the following key areas: responsible for make IR process, communication to other plants, monitor and reduce obsolete to zero, ensure gateways and bowling alleys are empty at the end of each shift, monitor and reduce past due demand to zero, reduce negatives to zero, new work order package are delivered daily, shop orders are released to start date, review daily dispatch list, release planned orders to release date, correct materials in shop order BOM as required, adjust shop order quantities increase/decreases as required, ensure close jobs are auctioned daily, work shop order process to completion stages.
Work with capacity planning to find under/overloads to determine if outsourcing or level loading is required; update weekly capacity charts.
Monitor and track parts status prior to and during production build.
Attend and participate in departmental toolbox meetings.
Assist in the development, communication and deployment of policies, guidelines and tools to.
Assist in reducing obsolete inventory.
Assist the materials team and leadership in achieving the budget in materials, supplies, salary/indirect labor, overtime, and operational expenses.

Represents the company as a member of transit associations within the assigned region and attends conferences and tradeshows. Reports back on industry trends, competitor activity and analysis, Federal, State and Municipal funding sources, and regional regulations.
Participates in postmortem review of wins and losses with bid teams with a view towards recommending changes and improvements to the company's commercial and technical value proposition.
Reviews the company's marketing collateral and sales tools and provides input to Sales & Marketing Support team on product positioning, features and benefits. Monitors competitor submissions and provides input on competitor pricing, features and benefits.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Extensive Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair, with significant experience in buses and coaches. Advanced knowledge of diesel, electric, and hydrogen fuel cell engines.
Advanced Diagnostic and Repair Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex HVAC systems, high-voltage electrical systems, and driveline components. Experience with sophisticated diagnostic tools and techniques.
Attention to Detail and Precision: High level of accuracy in inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks. Ability to handle complex systems and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.

POSITION SUMMARY
As the Director, Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities, you will be responsible for the performance and leadership of the Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Process Planning, Tooling and Facilities groups in all MCI manufacturing plant operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Leads the Manufacturing Engineering & Facilities groups in all MCI manufacturing plant operations in support of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and strategic initiatives.
Provides a progressive, interactive, innovative and collaborative work environment to maximize our ability to work as a team and make the organization more competitive and effective.
Ensures that manufacturing engineering representation is in place to support the manufacturing cells in the plants.
Participates in the creation of the Annual Operation Plan (AOP) for the manufacturing operations.
Creates the annual 515 budget for all manufacturing locations including expense, training, capital, salary, indirect and in-sourcing details and monitors and adjusts spending as required to achieve the budget.
Develops and executes the Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities strategic roadmap initiatives.
Ensures change projects (Manufacturing Engineering, Facility Council and Capital) are justified, planned and executed on time and on budget, and a final report on the results (validated by finance) is provided.
Sets departmental goals and metrics and holds those responsible accountable for achieving them.
Provide direction to the departmental team to reduce waste and improve competitiveness using established lean tools including 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM’s), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), A3 problem solving methodology and others.
Ensures required tooling is designed, built and maintained in advance of production requirements.
Ensures that ECO’s are implemented, reviewed and supported through the manufacturing engineering functions and that accurate routings and standard times are ready in time for production.
Ensures manufacturing facilities and equipment is maintained to sustain safety and manufacturing readiness.
Participates on and supports the Executive Safety Committee, Manufacturing Leadership Team, Director Leadership Team and any other necessary teams and activities.
Provides bid protection guidance for completed and active in-sourcing activities.
Responsible for attending the Facility Council, including providing all required reports and presentations for all current approved projects.
Leads strategic change projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or a combination of relevant coursework and hands-on experience.
A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is considered an asset.
Minimum of 5 years in a management position.
Experience leading a team or collaborating effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Ability to assess complex challenges, implement data-driven solutions, and drive process efficiencies.

Managerial Production Launch Manager responsibilities include:
Manage and maintain a comprehensive project issues list and drive full implementation of each issue. Drive ownership of issues and hold owners accountable for completion.
Lead the manufacturing readiness processes (MRA or PDP). Identify, involve, and motivate cross functional members on the launch team to execute all pre-production activities.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Painter you will prepare coaches, small parts, and metal and fiberglass surfaces for paint applications and apply primer / paint to coaches during different stages of the coach build. Your steady hand and attention to detail will be an asset to our organization where teamwork, safety and integrity are valued.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and cleaning
Apply paint and coatings to bus bodies and components using a range of techniques and equipment, ensuring a high-quality finish
Operate and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns and pumps
Mix and match paint colors and finishes to customer requirements and specifications
Operate various hand, air and power tools such as orbital sanders, air buffers, and measuring instruments
Ensure painting processes are compliant with relevant health and safety and environmental regulations
Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance the quality, efficiency, and sustainability of the painting process
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Proven experience working as a painter in an automotive or similar manufacturing environment
Expertise in various painting techniques, equipment, and materials, including primer, basecoat, and clearcoat
Experience working with solvents and pretreatment chemicals an asset, post-secondary training with experience interpreting paint charts
Ability to work with fiberglass
Knowledge of paint mixing chemicals
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard of quality
Strong communication and team-working skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all staff
Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to painting processes and materials.

POSITION SUMMARY: Motor Coach Industries (MCI), North America’s top motor coach manufacturer, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Electrical Technician. In this role, you’ll be essential in performing electrical system programming, wiring, hookups, and troubleshooting across all our coaches. No prior experience in this specific role is necessary—we're willing to provide full training to the right candidate.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Conduct electrical testing and diagnostics on coaches to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit boards, and electrical devices.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding electrical systems and safety.
Collaborate with other technicians and team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems.
Inspect and test electrical systems using specialized equipment.
Assist in the development and implementation of new electrical systems and technologies.
Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and other electrical-related activities.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training in electrical systems preferred.
Proven experience as an Electrical Technician in the automotive or related industry considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with automotive electrical components and systems.
Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and software.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

At MCI, we're looking for Mechanic III team members to join our dynamic Service Center, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining our diverse fleet of buses and coaches. This entry-level position is perfect for those with 1-3 years of experience in the automotive or diesel industries, and who are eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Basic Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as brake changes, tire rotations, and replacements. Conduct preventative maintenance including lubrication and oil changes.
Component Disassembly and Reassembly: Assist in the removal and installation of seats, glass, and other components. Disassemble and reconnect harnesses and lines as needed for repairs.
Suspension and Braking Systems: Support suspension maintenance tasks, including the replacement of suspension components, and perform basic inspections and repairs on braking systems.
Electrical Systems and Diagnostics: Develop your skills in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, ensuring all components function correctly and efficiently.
Safety and Precision: Adhere to all safety practices, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of all tools and materials.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Technical Expertise: 0-3 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields. Familiarity with engine, driveline, and electrical systems is preferred.
Tool Proficiency: Basic knowledge of hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Willingness to learn advanced diagnostic devices and shop tools.
Safety and Collaboration: Strong understanding of safety practices and effective use of personal protective equipment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
