## Description

Freedom24 is the European arm of Freedom Holding Corp (NASDAQ: FRHC), a publicly listed, US-audited financial group. We're a CySEC-regulated, MiFID II-compliant investment firm serving 400,000+ clients across Europe, with offices in multiple EU countries and access to 15+ global exchanges.

We operate in a fast-moving, multi-jurisdictional, heavily regulated environment. Our Legal Unit is going through a transformation – from a reactive advice function into a managed, tech-enabled service delivery model. You'd be the person who designs and runs that engine.

**Why this role exists**

Legal can't scale just by hiring more lawyers or manually reviewing every request. Our experts spend too much time chasing inputs, clarifying half-complete requests, sending reminders, and coordinating approvals by hand – instead of applying judgment to high-risk, high-value work.

Your mission: own the legal service delivery conveyor end to end – from the moment a request enters Legal until it's routed, tracked, approved, signed, reported, and (where possible) turned into a reusable standard or a LegalTech-enabled solution. You make Legal faster, more transparent, more measurable, and far easier for the business to work with.

**What you'll own**

- **The Legal Front Door.** Design and run a single controlled entry point for all legal requests – intake forms, request categories, mandatory fields and documents, ownership rules.
- **Triage & routing.** Build the logic that sends each matter to the right place – legal expert, business owner, Compliance, Finance, HR, external counsel, or a self-service tool – and filters out incomplete or misdirected requests.
- **The "Complete Package" standard.** Define and enforce what a request must contain before legal work starts, and send incomplete requests back with clear guidance – drastically cutting rework and ad hoc pressure on lawyers.
- **SLA & status discipline.** Design the SLA model (when it starts, pauses, escalates) and make delays – and who caused them – visible and properly attributed.
- **LegalTech.** Act as business owner for the Legal Unit's tooling: workflow/ticketing logic, dashboards, request taxonomy, SLA tracking, knowledge base, AI-assisted intake. Translate legal needs into specs and drive adoption.
- **Dashboards & reporting.** Build management reporting for the CLO: workload, cycle time, SLA compliance, bottlenecks, legal spend, external-counsel usage, adoption metrics. Make risk and pressure visible, not just volume.
- **Knowledge & standardization.** Convert recurring work into templates, playbooks, clause banks, checklists and self-service products. Move low-risk routine work out of manual review.
- **Legal Debt & external counsel.** Maintain a Legal Debt register and remediation tracking; support external-counsel intake, matter tracking and budget visibility.

**This role is — and isn't**

**It IS** a leadership and transformation role: you own the operational architecture of the Legal Unit (process, technology, intake quality, routing, SLA, reporting, knowledge, service discipline).

**It is NOT** a role that replaces substantive legal review – you won't be the final adviser on complex regulatory, litigation, corporate, employment, or commercial matters.

**It is also NOT** a purely administrative document-handling job. If you're looking to practice law, or you're looking for routine paperwork, this isn't the right fit.

**This role is for you if** you think of legal as a managed service, you get satisfaction from turning chaos into clean workflows and dashboards, and you enjoy driving adoption of new systems in an organization used to ad hoc, Slack-and-email coordination.

## Requirements

**Must-haves:**

- 10+ years in Legal Operations, legal project management, legal service delivery / process management, or document/contract management (legal, paralegal, or legal-ops background).
- Hands-on LegalTech experience — you have personally implemented, configured, rolled out, or operationally owned workflow / matter-management / ticketing / document-management / e-signature / dashboarding / knowledge-management or AI-assisted legal tools.
- Proven process design skills: workflow mapping, intake/triage design, SLA design, dashboard logic, reporting, operational controls.
- Strong grasp of legal workflows end to end — document lifecycle, approvals, signing, registers, archiving, contract administration.
- Experience in medium-to-large organizations with structured approvals, many cross-functional stakeholders, and high document volume.
- Experience working in Europe or with European legal/regulatory/corporate workflows; exposure to common-law jurisdictions or common-law-style documentation strongly preferred.
- Excellent cross-functional communication — you can hold your own with lawyers, IT, Finance, Compliance, HR, business stakeholders, and senior management.
- Strong document discipline, attention to detail, and comfort in a regulated, multi-jurisdictional, fast-moving environment.
- Professional written and spoken English and Russian (both are working languages for this role).

**Nice to have (strong advantages):**

- Background in brokerage, investment services, fintech, payments, crypto, banking, asset management, or trading platforms.
- Familiarity with CySEC, MiFID, GDPR, AML/CFT, sanctions, DORA, client-facing documents, or regulated outsourcing.
- Hands-on with GLPI, DocuSign, SharePoint, Microsoft Planner, CLM / matter-management / ticketing tools, or BI dashboards.
- You've built a Legal Front Door, intake forms, approval/risk matrices, playbooks, or self-service legal products before.
- Experience managing external-counsel administration and legal budget reporting.
- Experience leading a small operations / document-management team.
- An additional European language.
