## Description

Future Planet Capital Ventures (FPC) is supporting Tokamak Energy in strategic investor engagement and fundraising activities. Tokamak Energy, is a leading fusion energy company developing scalable, clean energy solutions. 

FPC is seeking a commercially driven Associate to support fundraising and strategic activity for Tokamak Energy. This role sits within the Business Development team at FPC and is designed for someone who is hands-on, execution-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 

The position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of deep-tech investing, with direct exposure to investor engagement, transaction processes, and strategic decision-making. As the fundraise progresses, the scope of the role may evolve in line with Tokamak Energy’s priorities. 

The primary objective of this role is to support the successful delivery of Tokamak Energy’s capital raising objectives by combining: 

-   Proactive investor engagement and pipeline development, and 

-   High-quality analytical, modelling, and transaction support 

-   This is an execution-led role suited to someone comfortable working with limited structure, supporting multiple stakeholders, and contributing across both commercial and analytical workstreams. 

Key Duties / Responsibilities 

Capital Raising & Investor Engagement 

-   Support the development and execution of fundraising strategy for Tokamak Energy 

-   Identify, engage, and build relationships with prospective investors (institutional, strategic, and venture) 

-   Develop and manage an active investor pipeline, tracking outreach, meetings, and progress 

-   Support and participate in investor meetings and follow-ups 

-   Help drive momentum from initial engagement through to diligence and commitment 

Transaction Execution & Materials 

-   Support preparation of investor materials, presentations, and data room content 

-   Assist with due diligence processes, investor queries, and transaction workflows 

-   Ensure consistent follow-up and progression of priority investors 

-   Work closely with compliance / legal stakeholders to ensure investor communications and materials are reviewed in accordance with FSMA requirements, financial promotion rules, and internal policies and procedures. 

Financial Analysis & Modelling 

-   Build and maintain financial models to support fundraising, valuation, and strategic analysis 

-   Support scenario analysis and materials used in investor discussions 

-   Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure robustness of financial outputs 

Strategic & Market Insight 

-   Support evaluation of strategic opportunities, including partnerships, M&A, and capital markets pathways 

-   Provide market intelligence across the fusion, energy, and deep-tech ecosystem 

-   Contribute to shaping investor messaging and positioning 

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement 

-   Build relationships across the investor and industry ecosystem 

-   Represent FPC and Tokamak Energy at relevant meetings and events as required 

-   Work collaboratively across internal teams and external partners

## Requirements

-   This role is suited to an early-career professional with 2–5 years’ experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or related fields or a prior FPC Super Intern 

-   Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities 

-   Exposure to fundraising, transactions, or investor engagement 

-   Interest in deep-tech, energy, or climate sectors (fusion experience not required) 

-   Commercially minded with strong attention to detail 

-   Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal 

-   Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment 

-   Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams 

-   Exposure to FCA-regulated environments, compliance processes, or financial promotion reviews would be beneficial.
