### What success looks like in year one

You've built a marketing roadmap the BU leadership team actually uses. Marketing’s pipeline contribution from Growth and Scale is clearer, better measured and improving. Your two Coordinators are doing better work than they were before you arrived. And central Marketing trusts you to represent the BUs while staying aligned on brand, reporting and shared priorities.

### What you’ll own

**BU marketing strategy and roadmap** - From commercial brief to prioritised plan, accountable for what's in and what's out

**Pipeline and demand generation** - Acquisition plans, channel performance, lead quality loops with Sales

**Lifecycle and retention** - Customer communications, renewal and expansion programmes, working alongside Customer Success

**Performance reporting** - tracking pipeline contribution, conversion and retention impact against company-wide metrics

**Team Leadership** - Day-to-day direction, coaching and line management of two Marketing Coordinators

## Requirements

### The role

We're looking for a senior marketer to lead the commercial marketing agenda for two of our largest business units, Growth and Scale. This isn't a campaign manager role: you'll be the person BU leadership turns to when they need to understand what marketing can do for their numbers, and the person who turns that into a clear, prioritised plan that gets delivered.

You'll work closely with a central Marketing team and line-manage two Marketing Coordinators, so you'll need to be as comfortable influencing upwards and laterally as you are coaching a team and rolling up your sleeves on execution when it matters.

### Essential elements for this role

We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties may arise, but these will be core elements of this role.

- Has owned end-to-end marketing performance for a BU, segment or revenue line in a B2B environment
- Comfortable with the full funnel — acquisition through to retention and expansion, not just top-of-funnel
- Has worked closely with Sales and Customer Success as commercial partners, not just internal clients
- Has coached or managed junior team members
- Operates well in matrixed environments — gets things done through influence as much as authority
- Impeccable attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You must be comfortable with working in a remote-first environment

### Nice to have

These will help you stand out from the pack:

- Background in SaaS, fintech or a similarly commercially complex sector
- Experience working alongside a central / shared marketing function
- Startup/scaleup experience
- Knowledge of shares and share schemes
- Experience working in a remote-first team

_**While the above describes the core responsibilities, this role may from time to time involve tasks beyond this list — as needed to respond to evolving business needs.**_

### Our application process

We are accepting rolling applications for this role with no fixed end date - if you are interested in joining the Vestd folk, please apply when you can. We will respond to every applicant, but we may only screen some candidates depending on the number of applications received.

Our recruitment pipeline has a few stages, giving you plenty of opportunities to learn about Vestd as we take the time to find someone who is the best fit for the role. We aim to complete the selection process as efficiently as possible, and we are committed to making our candidate experience as inclusive as we can, so please get in touch with us if you require any information or support during the application process or need to ask for any adjustments.

A typical selection process might be:

- Apply online
- 20-minute screening call
- 45-minute interview with the hiring manager and team member
- Task-based assignment
- 45-minute team cultural interview
- 30-minute interview with the CEO

_**Please note that we record our interviews. These recordings are only viewed by the hiring team and once a role is filled, all recordings are deleted. We do not share any candidate information with anyone outside of Vestd at any time.**_

### Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at Vestd

We want to be open about our EDI efforts.

[Research](https://hbr.org/2014/08/why-women-dont-apply-for-jobs-unless-theyre-100-qualified) shows that while men are likely to apply when they meet 60% of a job’s requirements, women and individuals from underrepresented groups often apply only when they meet every criterion.

We understand the value of transferable skills and the unique perspectives that diversity brings. That’s why we encourage applications from candidates with unique strengths and experiences.

If you need any adjustments or support with your application, please let us know in your application or throughout the process.

_We are excited to receive your application._

_When a role is filled, we will let all the applicants know to let them know._
