## Description

National Ramp is seeking a dedicated and innovative **Product Development Engineer** to join our dynamic team. As a key contributor, you will drive the design and development of innovative ramp products that enhance accessibility and improve quality of life for our customers.

Our Product Development Engineer will collaborate closely with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to ensure our products meet and exceed industry standards and customer expectations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Lead product design, development, and testing of new ramp and accessibility solutions.
-   Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales to bring products from concept to production.
-   Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing processes.
-   Perform analyses to ensure products meet safety, durability, and usability standards.
-   Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product performance and cost-efficiency.
-   Research and apply new materials and technologies to enhance product innovation.
-   Manage prototyping and testing phases to validate design concepts.
-   Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering field.
-   3+ years of product development experience in manufacturing or accessibility products.
-   Proficiency in CAD software for product design and drafting, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
-   Hands-on experience using FEA tools, such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation, to analyze mechanical designs.
-   Experience performing structural load engineering for mechanical products, including load calculations and stress or deflection analysis.
-   Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product testing standards.
-   Experience with prototyping and conducting product testing.
-   Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements is a plus.
-   Eligible to work in the United States.

**Location:** Valley Cottage, NY (On-Site)

**Salary:** The salary range for this position, based in Valley Cottage, NY, is $125,000-$150,000 per year, plus incentives. The final salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
