## Description

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Autonomous Shuttle Attendant to support daily operations for an on-demand autonomous ride-hailing service. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for riders by ensuring safe, efficient, and welcoming transportation experiences.

The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly communicative, safety-oriented, and experienced in customer-facing environments. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage service disruptions with professionalism and empathy.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Uphold a safety-first, inclusive, and open-communication culture
-   Greet passengers and provide a warm, welcoming rider experience
-   Authenticate riders using badge scanning systems
-   Coordinate and hail autonomous vehicles between locations
-   Communicate with cross-functional operations teams through Slack and vehicle communication channels
-   Perform light crowd control and assist with rider flow management
-   Provide timely service updates and disruption communications
-   Assist passengers during service interruptions or emergency situations
-   Follow operational protocols and procedures accurately

## Requirements

### Qualifications

-   Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, transportation, or another customer-facing role
-   Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
-   Strong customer-service mindset with a commitment to positive rider experiences
-   Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
-   Experience with conflict resolution or de-escalation techniques preferred
-   Detail-oriented with the ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols
-   Proactive, dependable, and resourceful team player
-   Comfortable using communication platforms such as Slack

### Physical Requirements

-   Ability to stand and walk for extended periods outdoors
-   Ability to lift and carry moderate loads
-   Flexibility to work assigned shifts and operational locations as needed

## Benefits

Candidates must be available to work:

-   **7:30 AM – 4:00 PM** shifts  
    **OR**
-   **11:30 AM – 8:00 PM / 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM** shifts

Initial scheduling may begin as:

-   **Monday – Friday**

However, **weekend flexibility will be required in the future** based on business needs and rider support operations in Foster City.

Pay Rate = $25 per hour
