**Job Summary** 

As an Accountant, you will supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities. Accountant responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. This position will work closely with the financial management team.

**Responsibilities**

·         Month-end and year-end close processes

·         Process accounts payable/accounts receivable

·         Record cash receipts and transactions

·         Record payroll

·         Perform financial variance analysis

·         Project accounting

·         Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations

·         Balance sheet reconciliations

·         Assist in preparation of financial statements

·         Track and record debt activity

·         Establish and maintain accounting processes

·         Other duties assigned

## Requirements

·         BS degree in Accounting or Finance

·         Proven working experience as Accountant

·         2+ years of accounting experience performing journal entries and reconciliations

·         Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

·         Ability to manipulate large amounts of data

·         Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

·         High attention to detail and accuracy

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to work independently

·         Strong work ethic and high work standards

·         Must have strong organizational capacity to simultaneously manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and be able to quickly adapt to changes and shift priorities to meet project needs and deadlines

·         NetSuite experience is a plus

·         Audit experience is a plus

·       Location: Hybrid in Houston, Texas (4 days in office, Fridays remote).
