### **HC TRUCK DRIVER – STEEL DELIVERIES | PERTH METRO AREA**

We are seeking an experienced and reliable **HC Truck Driver** to join our team, delivering steel products to customers across the Perth metro area.

**About the Role**

You will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering steel products to customer sites, construction sites and other locations across the Perth metropolitan area.

Your responsibilities will include:

-   Safely operating an HC truck for the delivery of steel products
-   Delivering steel to customer sites, construction sites and other locations
-   Loading and unloading steel in accordance with safe work procedures
-   Correctly securing and restraining steel loads
-   Completing pre-start checks and reporting any vehicle defects
-   Ensuring loads are transported safely and without damage
-   Completing delivery dockets and required paperwork
-   Communicating professionally with customers and site personnel
-   Maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle
-   Complying with all company, Chain of Responsibility and road safety requirements

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

-   A current HC driver’s licence
-   Previous experience driving HC vehicles
-   Strong communication and customer service skills
-   A strong understanding of load restraint and load security
-   An understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirements
-   A proactive and safety-focused approach
-   The ability to manage delivery schedules and work autonomously
-   Strong reliability, punctuality and a good work ethic
-   The physical capability to perform the requirements of the role
-   Pride in maintaining your truck, equipment and presentation

**Desirable**

-   Previous experience transporting steel, structural products or similar heavy freight
-   Experience with crane trucks
-   Forklift experience
-   Experience loading and unloading steel products
-   Experience delivering to construction sites
