## Description

Fetch Specialty and Emergency Veterinary Centers is a **family-owned** hospital dedicated to providing excellent care to pets in our community. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team in our Brandon Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician in Oncology, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to pets undergoing treatment for cancer.

Responsibilities:

-   Handle and restrain pets during procedures and treatments
-   Administer sedation and induce anesthesia
-   Monitor sedated and anesthetized patients
-   Prepare, calculate and administer medications as prescribed
-   Monitor patients and document their vital signs and response to treatment
-   Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as imaging studies and laboratory work
-   Maintain and update patient records
-   Provide compassionate care and support to pets and their owners
-   Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Oncology department

## Requirements

-   High school diploma or equivalent
-   Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
