### About the Role

Our client is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join their growing team and take ownership of the day-to-day technology experience across the business.

This is a hands-on coordination role focused on making technology simple, reliable and easy to use. You’ll ensure colleagues have the right equipment, systems, access and support to do their best work, while coordinating with an external Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure technical issues are resolved efficiently.

You’ll work closely with People, Operations, Technology and Governance teams to support onboarding and offboarding, maintain the company’s technology environment, contribute to systems improvements and help ensure technology remains secure, well managed and fit for purpose.

The organisation operates in a Google Workspace-first, cloud-based environment and is actively exploring AI-powered tools to improve productivity. You’ll play an important role in supporting the responsible adoption and administration of these technologies.

### Role Details

-   **Location:** UK-based
-   **Working arrangement:** Remote-first, with occasional face-to-face company offsites
-   **Salary:** Approximately **£40,600 per annum**
-   **Bonus:** Eligible for up to **10% annual bonus**, based on a combination of company and personal performance, following six months of service

### Your First 90 Days

### First 30 Days — Understand

-   Learn the organisation’s IT environment, systems and support processes.
-   Build relationships with the external MSP and understand service levels, responsibilities and escalation routes.
-   Get to know the People team and understand the employee lifecycle.
-   Review existing onboarding, offboarding and access processes.
-   Understand the technology estate, software licences and device management processes.
-   Meet key stakeholders across Technology, Operations, People and Governance.

### Days 31–60 — Diagnose

-   Take ownership of day-to-day IT coordination.
-   Improve visibility of support requests and MSP performance.
-   Review technology assets, user accounts and documentation.
-   Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
-   Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve the employee technology experience.
-   Support active technology and systems projects.

### Days 61–90 — Own

-   Independently coordinate day-to-day IT operations.
-   Build a strong and effective relationship with the MSP.
-   Deliver consistently excellent onboarding and employee technology experiences.
-   Improve technology documentation, asset management and user lifecycle processes.
-   Support systems and technology improvements.
-   Strengthen operational technology practices and processes.
-   Become a trusted technology partner for colleagues across the organisation.

## Requirements

### What You'll Be Responsible For

-   Coordinate day-to-day IT support across the business.
-   Act as the key point of coordination between employees and the external Managed Service Provider (MSP).
-   Manage IT support requests through to resolution, ensuring issues are handled promptly and effectively.
-   Monitor recurring issues and identify opportunities to improve the overall technology experience.
-   Work closely with the People team to deliver a seamless technology onboarding and offboarding experience.
-   Ensure new starters have the appropriate equipment, systems and access in place from day one.
-   Coordinate technology changes when employees move roles or responsibilities.
-   Manage laptops, devices, peripherals and other technology assets throughout their lifecycle.
-   Maintain accurate records of technology assets, user accounts and software licences.
-   Administer user accounts, software licences and core business applications.
-   Support the administration and adoption of Google Workspace and other cloud-based SaaS tools.
-   Support the responsible adoption of AI-powered productivity tools, ensuring their use aligns with security, governance and confidentiality requirements.
-   Work alongside technology colleagues on systems improvements, rollouts and wider technology projects.
-   Support device compliance, access controls and secure technology practices.
-   Help protect confidential and commercially sensitive information through appropriate technology and access management.
-   Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT documentation and processes.
-   Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve reliability and enhance the employee technology experience.

### What You'll Be Doing Day to Day

You’ll be the primary point of coordination for day-to-day IT across the business.

You’ll ensure colleagues receive timely, friendly and effective support by coordinating with the MSP and managing requests through to resolution. You’ll monitor recurring issues, identify trends and work with relevant stakeholders to improve the overall technology experience.

You’ll work closely with the People team throughout the employee lifecycle, from ordering and configuring devices through to provisioning user accounts and ensuring the correct system access is in place.

You’ll also coordinate technology changes for internal moves and ensure offboarding is completed securely and efficiently.

Alongside this, you’ll maintain technology assets, software licences, user accounts and documentation, ensuring everything remains accurate, secure and up to date.

You’ll support technology rollouts and improvements, helping colleagues adopt new tools and ways of working, while working with relevant stakeholders to ensure technology continues to meet the needs of the business.
