## Description

**Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) – Iowa**

**Remote | Full-Time**  
**Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM**  
**$115,000–$120,000 per year**

### The Job

We’re looking for an Iowa-licensed LMHC to provide counseling by video. You’ll have a set schedule of appointments and work with clients who come in with a variety of personal and mental health concerns. The day is mainly about being present with clients, keeping sessions purposeful, and handling the clinical work that comes with each appointment.

**What You’ll Spend Your Time On**

-   Seeing clients for scheduled video sessions
-   Completing first visits and gathering relevant background information
-   Providing short-term or ongoing counseling, depending on the case
-   Recording the key details from each appointment
-   Discussing difficult or higher-risk cases when another clinician’s input is needed
-   Addressing urgent concerns according to established procedures
-   Working with outside providers when a client is receiving other services
-   Keeping client information private and secure
-   Meeting Iowa LMHC practice and ethical requirements

## Requirements

-   Master’s degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
-   Active LMHC license
-   At least 1 year of post-licensure counseling experience preferred
-   Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
-   Comfortable providing care in a remote or telehealth setting
-   Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a professional home office environment
