## Description

The Business Solutions Specialist plays a key role within Fleet IT's IT Operations & Supply Chain function, helping the business make better decisions through clear reporting and smarter automation. Working primarily on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate), the role turns business needs into practical, low-code solutions - with growing exposure to RPA and AI/GenAI capabilities as Anglo-Eastern's automation landscape evolves. The focus throughout is on improving data visibility, decision-making, efficiency, accuracy, compliance and scalability across the organization.

## Requirements

**ROLES ACCOUNTABILITIES:**

- Create clear, reliable reporting and dashboards - primarily using Power BI, including data models (star schema) - that give business stakeholders visibility into operational and financial performance.
- Shape the data behind those reports using Power Query (M) and DAX, so numbers stay accurate, fast to load and consistent across the business.
- Look after reports once they go live - refresh schedules, workspace access and row-level security (RLS) in Power BI Service - so business users always see the right data, safely.
- Turn manual, repetitive processes into simple, easy-to-use apps and forms - using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), including the underlying logic and connectors that make them work.
- Build and support automated workflows using Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop), with room to extend into RPA, AI Builder and Copilot as the platform - and your skills - grow.
- Set up and maintain the data foundations behind these solutions - Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules and security - so everything stays reliable as it scales.
- Follow good governance and change-management practice - moving solutions cleanly from development to testing to live, with the right approvals and data-protection policies in place - so everything stays safe, supportable and audit-ready.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand what they need, and turn that into simple designs and documentation everyone can follow.
- Be the go-to person when something isn't working - troubleshooting reporting, apps and automation issues, and escalating platform-level problems when needed.
- Keep learning as the automation and AI landscape evolves - including RPA, GenAI and Agentic AI - and bring ideas back to improve how the team works.

**KEY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:**

**Technical skills**

- Certifications: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) is the primary certification for this role, with PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant) and PL-400 (Power Platform Developer) as valuable additions.
- Power BI (primary specialism): confident with data modelling (star schema), Power Query (M), DAX, row-level security (RLS), performance tuning, and publishing through the Power BI Service with scheduled refresh.
- Low-code/no-code: comfortable building end-to-end solutions with Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) on SharePoint and Power Automate (Cloud and Desktop), including AI Builder and Copilot. General exposure to RPA concepts and tools is a plus.
- Dataverse: a working understanding of table/relationship design, business rules, security roles and business process flows; exposure to plug-ins/custom APIs is a bonus.
- Automation governance: aware of good ALM practice - solution-based deployment, Dev/UAT/Prod environments, and environment variables/connection references.
- Programming & scripting: basic SQL; familiarity with Python or VBA for data handling is a bonus.

**Professional skills**

- Comfortable working independently across a project's full lifecycle, with a working knowledge of SDLC / Agile ways of working.
- Good at documentation and business analysis - able to translate what stakeholders need into clear, simple technical designs.
- Curious about GenAI and Agentic AI - a bonus, not a requirement.
- Proactive, data-led mindset with a focus on process improvement, data governance and solution scalability.

**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:**

- 3–4 years of hands-on experience building reporting, apps and automation solutions - primarily on the Microsoft Power Platform - with strong depth in Power BI.
- Confident, hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate - this is a core part of the role, not a nice-to-have.
- Bachelor's degree (Any Graduate); a background in Computer Science, IT or a related field is an advantage.
- PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) certification preferred; PL-200 and PL-400 certifications an advantage.
