## Description

Academia is currently seeking to recruit a new member of staff to support the growth of the Technical Services division. As a member of the Apple Helpdesk Team, the emphasis will be on providing high quality technical services & support to our, predominantly Jamf, managed and supported client base.  
  
Amongst other tasks the Apple Systems Engineer will be responsible for;

-   Tier 2+ remote desktop support for OSX, iOS and Jamf Pro
-   Issue resolution
-   Maintenance and automation of software for patch management
-   Basic network troubleshooting and diagnostics
-   MDM (Jamf) solution maintenance
-   Solutions documentation 
-   ISO procedure documentation
-   Ability to communicate technical concepts to a nontechnical audience

 Key Skills

-   Experience in managing an Apple Mac &/or Apple iOS environment from the ground up using Jamf Pro in a current (MacOS Sequoia and above) environment
-   A passion for all things technology related
-   Excellent all round communication skills especially in questioning and listening.
-   Excellent personal planning and work organisation skills
-   Excellent telephone manner
-   Ability to demonstrate solutions to customers when necessary
-   Experience\* &/or certification of any of the following:

-   Jamf Certified

-   Jamf Pro CCA or 300
-   Jamf Protect or 270 or above
-   Knowledge of modern Jamf management including Blueprints & SSO

-   Apple School Manager
-   Apple Business
-   Entra ID
-   Jamf Connect
-   PSSO
-   Jamf Protect
-   Jamf Security Cloud
