## Description

We are seeking for a Senior Site Engineer who will be responsible for managing and supervising day-to-day site activities, ensuring that construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on site experience, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, project management teams, and site personnel.

## Requirements

**1\. Site Execution & Supervision**

-   Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site.
-   Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and project requirements.
-   Coordinate with site supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and workers to ensure smooth execution.
-   Plan daily and weekly activities based on the project programme and site priorities.
-   Monitor progress against planned targets and identify potential delays at an early stage.
-   Ensure proper allocation and utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
-   Resolve day-to-day technical and site execution issues promptly.

**2\. Technical & Engineering Responsibilities**

-   Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and approved materials prior to execution.
-   Ensure site works are carried out in accordance with the latest approved drawings and revisions.
-   Identify discrepancies, clashes, and technical issues and coordinate with the relevant engineering/design teams for resolution.
-   Prepare and review technical submissions, RFIs, inspection requests, and other project documentation as required.
-   Provide technical guidance to supervisors and site teams.
-   Ensure correct setting-out, levels, dimensions, and installation requirements are maintained.

**3\. Consultant & Client Coordination**

-   Coordinate with consultants, client representatives, project management teams, and other stakeholders on site.
-   Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, inspections, and technical discussions as required.
-   Follow up on consultant comments, approvals, inspections, and outstanding technical matters.
-   Ensure all site activities are ready for consultant/client inspection before requesting inspection.
-   Maintain professional communication with all project stakeholders.

**4\. Subcontractor Management**

-   Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
-   Coordinate subcontractor work sequences with the overall construction programme.
-   Monitor subcontractor manpower, productivity, workmanship, and progress.
-   Ensure subcontractors follow approved drawings, method statements, safety requirements, and quality standards.
-   Identify underperformance and escalate concerns to the Project/Construction Manager.
-   Coordinate interfaces between different subcontractors and trades.

**5\. Quality Control**

-   Ensure construction activities comply with approved quality standards and project specifications.
-   Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and testing.
-   Monitor workmanship and ensure defective or non-conforming works are rectified.
-   Ensure inspection requests are raised at the appropriate stages of construction.
-   Assist in closing NCRs, site observations, and quality-related comments.
-   Maintain proper records of inspections, approvals, and corrective actions.

**6\. Health, Safety & Environment**

-   Ensure all site activities are performed in compliance with company HSE policies and project requirements.
-   Coordinate with the HSE team to identify and address unsafe practices and conditions.
-   Ensure workers and subcontractors follow approved risk assessments and method statements.
-   Stop or escalate unsafe activities when necessary.
-   Promote a strong safety culture across the site team.

**7\. Planning & Progress Monitoring**

-   Monitor daily progress and provide accurate updates to the Project/Construction Manager.
-   Assist in preparing short-term and weekly look-ahead programmes.
-   Track site constraints, material availability, manpower requirements, and access requirements.
-   Highlight delays, risks, and potential programme impacts.
-   Coordinate with planning and project controls teams regarding actual site progress.

**8\. Materials & Resources**

-   Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
-   Verify that delivered materials comply with approved material submittals and project requirements.
-   Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
-   Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials at site.
-   Communicate upcoming material requirements in advance.

**9\. Documentation & Reporting**

-   Maintain accurate site records and daily activity reports.
-   Assist in preparing progress reports, inspection records, RFIs, site instructions, and other project documentation.
-   Maintain records of completed works, pending activities, site constraints, and outstanding issues.
-   Provide timely and accurate information to the Project Manager and relevant departments.
-   Ensure project documentation is maintained in accordance with company procedures.

**Qualifications & Experience**

-   Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant engineering discipline, depending on the project requirements.
-   **7–10 years of relevant construction/site experience**, preferably with a main contracting company.
-   Strong experience in site execution and construction supervision.
-   Previous experience working on large-scale building, infrastructure, commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects is preferred.
-   UAE/GCC construction experience is highly desirable.
-   Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and site procedures.
-   Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
-   Candidates with relevant UAE engineering registration/authority approvals, where applicable, will be preferred.

**Technical Skills**

-   Strong knowledge of construction methods and site execution.
-   Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
-   Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
-   Knowledge of project scheduling and progress monitoring.
-   Familiarity with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
-   Knowledge of relevant UAE construction standards and regulations.
-   Familiarity with project management/document control systems is an advantage.
