### ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its **Critical Care and Intensive Care Medicine services** and is seeking an experienced **Consultant Critical Care Physician** to join its growing clinical team. ### ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will provide consultant-level **Critical Care and Intensive Care** services within a multidisciplinary clinical environment, supported by experienced consultants, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, allied health professionals, and advanced diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.

### KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-   Lead the management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma, and postoperative patients in the ICU.
-   Provide advanced critical care, intensive care, organ support, mechanical ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support, and sepsis management.
-   Perform critical care procedures, including airway management, central venous access, and invasive monitoring, in accordance with clinical privileges.
-   Coordinate multidisciplinary ICU rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and allied health teams.
-   Manage complex and high-acuity cases while ensuring patient safety and evidence-based Critical Care Medicine practices.
-   Communicate with patients' families and participate in goals-of-care discussions and ethical decision-making.
-   Contribute to ICU protocols, infection prevention, clinical audits, simulation training, quality improvement, and clinical governance.

## Requirements

Applications are welcome from internationally trained Consultant Critical Care Physicians, Critical Care Specialists, and Intensive Care Medicine Consultants holding recognised specialist qualifications such as:

-   American Board certification in Critical Care Medicine / Internal Medicine with Critical Care fellowship
-   UK CCT, FFICM, MRCP, or FRCA pathway in Intensive Care / Critical Care Medicine
-   European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine (EDIC)
-   Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification
-   Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists / CICM Fellowship or equivalent Critical Care qualification
-   Arab Board in Critical Care / Intensive Care Medicine
-   DM, DNB, FCPS, or equivalent recognised specialist qualification in Critical Care / Intensive Care Medicine

Candidates with international experience in Critical Care Medicine, Intensive Care, ICU, Emergency Critical Care, Organ Support, Mechanical Ventilation, Sepsis Management, and Acute Care are encouraged to apply.
