## Description

I am partnering with a leading London professional services firm looking for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to modernise, secure, and standardise their core cloud environment.

  

This hands-on role focuses on foundational Azure setup, PaaS databases, serverless architecture, IaC, and establishing self-service infrastructure blueprints for internal development teams.

  

**Job Title:** Azure Platform Engineer

**Location:** City of London (Hybrid)

**Salary:** Up to 90,000

**Job Type:** Full-time, Permanent (Flexibility for on-call/additional hours as required)

  

Key Responsibilities

-   **Serverless & Cloud:** Build and maintain Azure Functions, App Services, and serverless tools.
-   **Automation:** Use Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to deploy resources safely.
-   **Database & Security:** Manage Azure SQL, protect keys in Key Vault, and fix security risks.
-   **Monitoring:** Set up Azure Monitor to track system health and build easy deployment templates for the team.

  

Essential Requirements

-   **Azure & IaC Skills:** Strong experience with Azure PaaS, serverless setups, and Terraform or Bicep.
-   **Scripting & SQL:** Good scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or CLI, plus experience managing Azure SQL.
-   **Security & Access:** Solid knowledge of Entra ID, cloud networking, and certificate management.
-   **Documentation:** Great at writing clear guides, runbooks, and handover notes.

  

Desirable Skills

-   Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
-   Knowledge of Docker, AKS, Power Platform, or FinOps.
-   Azure certifications like AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or AZ-50
