You will be working as a Senior Software Engineer (Identity) in our Technology Division, which is now composed of 75+ people in Lagos, Bangalore, Paris, Türkiye, and remotely across the globe.

As a **Senior Software Engineer (Identity)** at FairMoney, you will work as part of our Identity engineering squad, building reliable and scalable systems that support identity verification, KYC, authentication, and other critical customer onboarding processes.

You will take ownership of complex backend projects, contribute to technical decisions, and work closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality solutions. You will also have the opportunity to leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and delivery.

### **We are looking forward to having you work on:**

-   Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems for Identity, KYC, authentication, and related services;

-   Taking ownership of complex technical projects from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance;
-   Building reliable distributed systems and services that can support millions of customers across multiple markets;
-   Working closely with Product, Risk, Compliance, and other engineering teams to deliver effective identity and KYC solutions;
-   Contributing to technical architecture, engineering standards, code reviews, and best practices within the Identity squad;
-   Identifying and resolving performance, scalability, reliability, and security challenges across our systems;
-   Using AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and software delivery;
-   Mentoring other engineers and contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

### **🔧 Our Technical Stack**

-   Our customer-facing product is an Android application;
-   It communicates with Ruby on Rails or Go-lang backends (Sidekiq, RSpec);
-   Our ML pipeline is API-Flask (Python);
-   We are hosted on AWS: Kubernetes, SNS, SQS, Lambdas, RDS Aurora MySQL and PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, and Kinesis;
-   Prototype of a data warehouse on GCP (GCS, BigQuery, Cloud Composer);
-   We run our CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions.

## Requirements

**Basic Qualifications**

· 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development;

· Strong experience designing and building distributed systems and scalable backend services;

· Experience working with Go, or strong experience in another backend language with a willingness to transition to Go;

· Strong understanding of software engineering principles, system design, testing, CI/CD, and production operations;

· Experience working on complex systems where reliability, security, and scalability are critical;

· Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills;

· Good verbal and written communication skills;

· Experience working effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

**Preferred Qualifications**

· Experience working in Identity, KYC, authentication, fraud prevention, onboarding, or related domains;

· Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other financial services environments;

· Strong experience with Go and Go-based backend systems;

· Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems;

· Experience working with AWS or other major cloud platforms;

· Experience using AI coding assistants, LLM-based developer tools, or AI-assisted development workflows;

· Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical direction within a team.

### Recruitment Process
