## Description

### Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced **Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with South African Board qualification** to join its cardiothoracic surgery team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide consultant-level cardiothoracic surgical services.
-   Perform elective and emergency cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
-   Manage patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, thoracic conditions, and other complex cardiothoracic disorders.
-   Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
-   Perform post-operative management and monitor patient recovery.
-   Collaborate closely with cardiologists, intensivists, anesthetists, pulmonologists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and cardiac/thoracic team meetings.
-   Manage complex and high-risk surgical cases in accordance with clinical expertise.
-   Maintain accurate medical records and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
-   Participate in clinical governance, teaching, research, audit, and quality-improvement activities.

## Requirements

-   **MBBS or equivalent medical degree.**
-   Recognized **South African Board qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery**.
-   Relevant consultant-level clinical experience.
-   Current specialist registration and good professional standing.
-   Experience in a tertiary-care or teaching hospital is preferred.
-   Eligible for **DOH/DHA medical licensing**, depending on the location.
-   Strong surgical, clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
