## Description

**West Valley Dance Company** is a premier dance studio with locations in San Jose, Willow Glen, and Mountain View, offering professional dance education for dancers of all ages and skill levels. As a subdivision of **Action Day Schools, WVDC** blends high-quality dance training with a deep commitment to child development, confidence building, and community.

**We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced part-time Ballet Teacher to join our team at our Bascom Avenue studio in San Jose.**

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday from 4:00–8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.

Our instructors work with dancers ranging from 18 months to 18 years old, teaching a variety of styles while fostering confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance. WVDC instructors are more than teachers- they are mentors who inspire and guide the next generation of dancers.

**What You’ll Do**

-   Provide engaging and professional ballet instruction to students of varying ages and abilities
-   Create a supportive, encouraging classroom environment where every dancer can grow
-   Inspire creativity, confidence, and teamwork through movement and performance
-   Maintain strong communication with families and studio leadership
-   Contribute to a positive studio culture rooted in passion, excellence, and community

**Compensation:** $25-50/hr. depending on individual experience, education and position requirements.

## Requirements

**Our ideal candidate will:**

-   Have a strong dance background and a genuine passion for both dance and teaching
-   Have experience working with children and students ages 18 months–18 years (preferred)
-   Bring energy, creativity, and encouragement into every class
-   Be committed to helping dancers develop both technical skills and confidence for life
-   Communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and team members
-   Be reliable, professional, and a collaborative team player
-   Have reliable transportation and a desire to continue learning and growing
