## Description

**JOB PURPOSE**

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & MDM Specialist to bridge the gap between business strategy, data stewardship, and technical data management. In this role, you will define and operationalize data governance policies, lead business analysis for data initiatives, and leverage technical experience in Master Data Management (MDM) tools (e.g., Informatica MDM) to ensure critical data assets are accurate, consistent, and securely managed.

A strong background in Data Access Control (RBAC/ABAC, data security policies, and privacy enforcement) is highly preferred to ensure our enterprise data remains secure while remaining accessible to authorized stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**

1.  **Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering**

-   Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and technical data requirements.
-   Conduct data mapping, root-cause analysis on data discrepancies, and gap analysis across existing business processes and data pipelines.
-   Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions between business stakeholders, analytics teams, and technical engineers.

3.  **Master Data Management (MDM) Execution**

-   Serve as the domain SME for Master Data Management architectures and workflows (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Product, or Asset domains).
-   Partner with engineering teams on configuration, match/merge rule tuning, entity resolution, and hierarchy management using Informatica MDM or equivalent enterprise MDM platforms.
-   Validate data integration pipelines feeding into and out of the MDM hub to maintain single-source-of-truth integrity.
-   Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM or equivalent, or other scripting/programing language is highly preferred.

5.  **Data Access Control & Security (Highly Preferred)**

-   Define and enforce data privacy, confidentiality, and access control guidelines in compliance with enterprise policies and regulations.
-   Design and maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) models for master data and enterprise datasets.
-   Work with security and architecture teams to integrate data access control tools (e.g., One Identity Manager) into the data ecosystem.

7.  **Self-Management Responsibilities**

-   Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
-   Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
-   Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role
-   Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

-   Bachelor's degree

3.  **Years & Nature of Experience**

-   Deep experience (10+ years) in data governance and MDM software and tools
-   Strong technical business analysis skills
-   Ability to influence effectively at all levels
-   Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
-   A data certification such as CMDP or CIMP is a plus
