**ABOUT THE ROLE**

A leading, internationally accredited multispecialty healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its mental health, psychiatric and behavioural health services and is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join its growing clinical team. The role is designed for internationally trained psychiatrists seeking career advancement, strong clinical exposure, and the ability to practice within a modern, quality-driven healthcare environment serving a diverse international patient population. **ROLE OVERVIEW**

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, psychologists, therapists, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of psychiatric, psychological and behavioural health conditions.  
• Provide consultant-level care for depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD and other mental health conditions.  
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, risk assessments, mental status examinations and treatment planning.  
• Develop and monitor individualised treatment plans including pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy referrals and other evidence-based interventions.  
• Manage acute psychiatric presentations, crisis situations and patients requiring appropriate referral or higher levels of care.  
• Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, treatment response and long-term mental health outcomes.  
• Provide psychiatric care for adults and other patient groups according to scope of practice.  
• Coordinate care with clinical psychologists, counsellors, therapists, neurologists, primary care physicians and other medical specialists.  
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication safety, relapse prevention and ongoing mental health care.  
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, informed consent, confidentiality and patient safety standards.  
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and mental health service development.

## Requirements

Applications are welcome from internationally trained Consultant Psychiatrist / Psychiatry Specialist candidates holding recognised qualifications such as:  
• American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology  
• UK CCT / MRCPsych  
• European Board / National Specialist Certification in Psychiatry  
• Royal College Certification (Canada)  
• Australian FRANZCP  
• Arab Board  
• MD / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
