## Description

### **Job Role**

The Storekeeper at Matar Al Baqmi Holding Company is responsible for ensuring efficient and organized storage and distribution of materials and supplies. This position plays a critical role in inventory management, receiving and dispatching stock, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the safety and security of stored items.

### **Accountabilities**

-   Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
-   Organize and store materials in designated areas in a systematic manner.
-   Maintain accurate inventory records and update tracking systems regularly.
-   Perform routine inventory audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
-   Prepare and issue materials to various departments as requested, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
-   Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team to replenish supplies in a timely manner.
-   Ensure storage areas are clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
-   Assist in developing and improving inventory control procedures to enhance efficiency.
-   Support team members and provide training on storekeeping best practices when necessary.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications & Knowledge**

-   High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in inventory management is advantageous.
-   Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
-   Understanding of occupational safety and health standards related to storage and handling of materials.

### **Experience**

-   Minimum of 2 years’ experience in storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory control roles.
-   Previous experience in similar industries or companies is preferred.

### **Skills & Competencies**

-   Strong organizational and meticulous attention to detail.
-   Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
-   Proficient with MS Office applications and inventory tracking software.
-   Physical ability to handle lifting and operate warehouse equipment safely.

-   Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
-   Dedication to maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
