## Description

**Job Description** – Specialist Internal Medicine

**Location:** Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are seeking a highly qualified **Specialist Internal Medicine** to join our multidisciplinary medical team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for adult patients by diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. The role involves delivering evidence-based inpatient and outpatient care while ensuring compliance with DOH regulations and international clinical standards.

### Responsibilities

-   Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
-   Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient Internal Medicine services.
-   Diagnose and manage conditions including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, infectious diseases, renal disorders, endocrine disorders, and other complex medical conditions.
-   Perform comprehensive history taking, physical examinations, and formulate individualized treatment plans.
-   Interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, radiological imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
-   Coordinate multidisciplinary care with specialists and allied healthcare professionals.
-   Manage medical emergencies and provide timely stabilization and treatment.
-   Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
-   Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and long-term management.
-   Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, and patient safety programs.
-   Supervise junior physicians and contribute to teaching, mentoring, research, and continuing medical education (CME).
-   Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, hospital policies, and international evidence-based clinical guidelines.

## Requirements

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
-   Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine (MD, Arab Board, MRCP, CCT, American Board, Canadian Fellowship, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification).
-   Valid **DOH License** or **DOH Eligibility Letter** as a **Specialist Internal Medicine**, or eligibility to obtain one.
-   International board certification is preferred.
