## Description

Our Tokyo Engineering team is rapidly scaling to meet the evolving needs of enterprise customers — from a handful of robots to large fleets operating in live warehouses. We build next-generation logistics automation solutions powered by rapyuta.io, our cloud robotics platform.

As a Quality Assurance Architect, you will architect and own the entire QA ecosystem — spanning test strategy, infrastructure, automation, CI/CD integration, and quality governance across multiple agile teams. You will work hands-on with real and simulated robots, define scalable testing frameworks, and lead initiatives to embed quality into every stage of the product lifecycle.

This is a strategic, high-impact role for a QA professional who thrives in fast-evolving environments and can bring together software, hardware, and systems-level quality engineering into a unified pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Product Managers, System Architects, and Agile teams to ensure quality gates across all stages of release.

- Define and implement an end-to-end QA strategy covering simulation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), API, integration, and field-level testing.

- Build and maintain test automation frameworks (Python/C++/ROS ecosystem) integrated with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).

- Design, review, and optimize test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria in alignment with agile development processes.

- Set up automated regression, load, and performance testing suites for robotics systems and APIs.

- Mentor QA and development teams in testing best practices, metrics, and continuous improvement.

- Drive defect triage and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence and ensure traceability.

- Contribute to process maturity and tooling roadmap for organization-wide QA scalability.

## Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

- 5+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance or test automation, with at least 2 years in a lead or architect role.

- Experience leading, mentoring QA engineers and driving quality best practices across teams.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

- Understanding of system-level validation, including integration across multiple components (firmware, middleware, UI, APIs).

- Solid grounding in Agile and DevOps methodologies.

- Deep understanding of Linux environments, version control (Git), and modern CI/CD pipelines.

- Proven ability to design scalable automation architectures and implement reusable QA libraries.

- Strong expertise in Python testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework).

- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-based testing.

- Experience in performance and reliability testing for distributed systems.

- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA credentials.

- Japanese language proficiency is a plus.
