We’re looking for innovative, bold and brave minds to help us build the world’s best insurance company. ** 🤘🏼 The role** We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join us three days a week. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants real ownership of core finance processes at a scaling business, without the always-on pace of a full-time role. Reporting into our Financial Controller and working closely with the wider Finance team, you will support the day-to-day rigour that keeps Laka’s finances accurate, timely, and audit-ready across three markets. This is a fantastic fit for someone part-way through their accountancy qualifications, or a Qualified by Experience professional looking for meaningful responsibility alongside the flexibility of a three-day week. We support hybrid work from our offices in London, Bristol and Amsterdam or fully remote working from the UK, Netherlands or France. **What you'll do** - Month-End Ownership: Assist with the month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments. - Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain consolidated management accounts and supporting schedules. - Commercial Support: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to help guide business decisions. - Audit & Compliance: Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure a clean, well-documented audit trail.
