### Job Overview

Mercier Consultancy Group is proud to present an outstanding opportunity for a German Speaking Digital Trust and Safety Analyst position in Bulgaria, working on-site in the vibrant capital city of Sofia. This role sits at the heart of the social media industry, where you will play a critical part in protecting online communities by reviewing, assessing, and actioning content to ensure it meets established platform policies and community standards. If you are a fluent or native German speaker with a passion for digital safety, online integrity, and the ever-evolving world of social media, this is one of the most compelling German-speaking jobs available in Europe today.

### Key Responsibilities

- Review and moderate user-generated content across social media platforms in German and English, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines and community standards.
- Identify, assess, and action potentially harmful, abusive, or policy-violating content including hate speech, misinformation, graphic material, and spam within social media environments.
- Analyse reported content, accounts, and behavioural patterns to detect coordinated inauthentic behaviour, fraud, and other emerging threats to social media integrity.
- Accurately classify and escalate complex or sensitive cases to specialist teams in accordance with established internal workflows and escalation protocols.
- Provide detailed written assessments and documentation of trust and safety decisions, maintaining high accuracy and consistency across all reviewed cases.
- Continuously develop knowledge of evolving social media trends, emerging threats, and policy updates relevant to the German-speaking digital landscape.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, policy, and product departments to support ongoing improvements to trust and safety frameworks.
- Contribute to the achievement of team quality and productivity targets, helping to maintain a safe and positive experience for social media users across German-speaking markets.

## Requirements

- Native or fluent German language proficiency (both spoken and written) is essential for this role — all content review and communication in German-speaking markets requires a near-perfect command of the language.
- Valid EU passport (mandatory requirement for relocation and on-site employment in Bulgaria).
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to facilitate internal communication and documentation.
- Prior experience in content moderation, trust and safety, digital compliance, or a related field within the social media or technology sector is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, emotional resilience, and strong critical thinking skills when handling sensitive or distressing content.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under time pressure and consistently meet quality and productivity benchmarks.
- A genuine interest in digital safety, online communities, and the social media industry, with a proactive approach to staying informed about the latest trends and threats.
