## Description

**Location:** Spruce Grove, Alberta

**Hours**: Monday - Thursday (6:00 am to 4:30 pm)

The Team Lead is responsible for oversight of the daily activities of the warehouse by providing guidance and direction to employees. This position ensures that the team is aware of shipping timelines, provides status updates throughout the day and troubleshoots bottlenecks.

**Position Tasks:**

-   Set and follow Leader Standard Work daily
-   Complete Start-Up Checks
-   Assess manpower and break coverage continually with Value Stream Supervisor to ensure all timelines are maintained
-   Support the shipper/receiver on dock management and communication between plants and carriers on deliver times. Work through delivery delays and adjust schedules to support expedited items.
-   Conduct daily huddles with team to inform on progress and demands
-   Regularly update cell board and dash boards and review operator efficiencies
-   Utilize KPI metrics to compare actuals and to foster continuous improvement
-   Support operators with material needs, upcoming jobs and continuous coaching
-   Ships, receives, and records the movement of goods, materials, and inventory for a company
-   Administer and support cross training initiatives
-   Adhere to Cam Tran safety policies and procedures
-   Perform other duties as assigned

## Requirements

**Qualifications:**

-   Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
-   Experience working with multiple carrier companies.
-   Operate a forklift, winch, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.
-   Knowledge of the product and plant operations.
-   Demonstrated experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing systems, Production Control and Quality System.

**Working Conditions**:

-   10-hour shifts with potential for overtime.
-   Tasks are repetitive.
-   Work is conducted in an indoor manufacturing environment around various pieces of equipment.
-   Environment can be hot during summer months.
-   Heaving lifting is required occasionally. For materials in excess of 50lbs employees use overhead crane or may require the assistance of two or more people.
-   Operation of machinery in the production process, operation of forklift.
-   Fast paced, high pressure, efficiency driven environment.

**Physical Requirements:**

Example for Production:

-   Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
-   Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
-   Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
-   PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
-   Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
-   Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
-   Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
-   Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
