## Description

**We're Hiring | Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon**

📍 Location: Dubai

We are seeking an experienced **Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with a recognized PQR Tier 1 qualification** to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in orthopedic surgery, musculoskeletal disorders, trauma management, and minimally invasive surgical techniques, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and high-quality surgical outcomes.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of **musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions**.
-   Perform elective and emergency orthopedic surgical procedures within the scope of clinical expertise.
-   Diagnose and manage **fractures, dislocations, ligament injuries, tendon disorders, joint diseases, and degenerative musculoskeletal conditions**.
-   Perform appropriate orthopedic procedures, including **fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint reconstruction, and joint replacement surgery**, where appropriately trained.
-   Evaluate and manage patients with osteoarthritis, sports injuries, traumatic orthopedic conditions, and chronic joint disorders.
-   Provide surgical and non-surgical management of upper and lower limb conditions.
-   Perform advanced **laparoscopic-free, minimally invasive orthopedic procedures** and other relevant surgical interventions within the authorized scope of practice.
-   Assess and manage complex orthopedic trauma and post-traumatic musculoskeletal conditions.
-   Provide comprehensive pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, informed consent, and post-operative follow-up.
-   Identify and manage post-operative complications, including infection, implant-related problems, and delayed bone healing.
-   Interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including **X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and musculoskeletal ultrasound**.
-   Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists.
-   Collaborate with rheumatologists, neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, pain specialists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
-   Supervise and mentor junior orthopedic surgeons, residents, and surgical team members.
-   Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures, treatment options, risks, rehabilitation, and preventive care.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection control, and patient-safety standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Orthopedic Surgery / Orthopedics & Traumatology**.
-   **PQR Tier 1 recognized specialist qualification is required.**
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience** in Orthopedic Surgery, subject to qualification and regulatory requirements.
-   Strong clinical and surgical experience in managing complex musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.
-   Demonstrated competence in **orthopedic trauma surgery, arthroscopy, joint reconstruction, and other relevant surgical procedures**.
-   Experience with advanced minimally invasive orthopedic techniques is highly desirable.
-   Eligible for **MOHAP Consultant classification/license** in Sharjah, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirements.
-   Excellent surgical, clinical, leadership, communication, and patient-management skills.
