## Description

**Job Purpose:**

To oversee the General Ledger (GL) function and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The GL Supervisor will lead the GL team in managing month-end closings, reconciliations, and financial analysis, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Supervise daily operations of the GL team, ensuring timely and accurate posting of transactions.
-   Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial entries are recorded, reconciled, and closed in accordance with the timeline.
-   Review and verify journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
-   Monitor the integrity of financial data and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
-   Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
-   Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
-   Provide support to finance and operations teams regarding GL inquiries and issues.
-   Train, mentor, and develop GL staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
-   Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the GL functions.
-   Assist in the development of accounting policies and procedures.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-   Preferred qualified bachelor’s degree or professional diploma such CPA, CA, UKCA
-   Preferred experience in auditing
-   7 years+ of experience in accounting and financial statements
-   Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
-   Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP), along with MS Office applications.
-   Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-   Proficiency in creating financial statements under IFRS
-   Strong operational and implementation knowledge on IFRS
-   Strong leadership and team management abilities.
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
