## Description

A **leading hospital in the UAE** is seeking an experienced **Consultant Neonatologist** to join its advanced Neonatal and Paediatric team.

### Position Summary

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to critically ill and premature newborns, working within a multidisciplinary team in a modern tertiary/quaternary healthcare setting. The role involves managing complex neonatal cases and contributing to high standards of clinical care, safety and service development.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide consultant-level care to **premature, critically ill and high-risk newborns**.
-   Manage neonatal emergencies and complex medical conditions.
-   Lead the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of neonates in the NICU.
-   Manage respiratory distress, sepsis, neonatal infections and other critical conditions.
-   Perform and supervise neonatal procedures within scope of practice.
-   Provide care for extremely premature and low-birth-weight infants.
-   Participate in delivery-room resuscitation and high-risk deliveries.
-   Collaborate with Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgery, Cardiology and other specialties.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical rounds.
-   Provide guidance and supervision to junior doctors and medical staff.
-   Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
-   Support teaching, training and development of neonatal services.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in **Neonatology/Pediatrics**.
-   **American Board or Australian Board** certification in the relevant specialty.
-   Consultant-level clinical experience in Neonatology.
-   Strong experience in a tertiary/quaternary NICU environment.
-   Experience managing complex neonatal and critical care cases.
-   Eligible for **DHA/DoH/MOHAP Consultant licensing**.
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Candidates with experience in advanced NICU services are preferred.
