## Description

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled **Specialist Neonatologist** to provide specialized medical care for premature infants, critically ill newborns, and neonates requiring advanced intensive care. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, stabilization, and long-term management of neonatal patients while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in **Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU)**, evidence-based neonatal medicine, neonatal resuscitation, and family-centered care.

## Requirements

·         Provide comprehensive medical care for premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborn infants.

·         Diagnose, stabilize, and manage neonatal medical and surgical conditions.

·         Deliver advanced neonatal intensive care services within a Level III/IV NICU.

·         Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation when required.

·         Manage neonatal respiratory disorders, neonatal infections, congenital anomalies, metabolic disorders, and neurological conditions.

·         Perform advanced neonatal procedures including:

o    Endotracheal intubation

o    Umbilical venous and arterial catheterization

o    Peripheral arterial line insertion

o    Mechanical ventilation management

o    Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)

o    Surfactant administration

o    Neonatal resuscitation

·         Interpret neonatal laboratory investigations, diagnostic imaging, and monitoring data.

·         Develop individualized treatment plans based on international neonatal care guidelines.

·         Collaborate closely with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, pediatric surgeons, pediatric cardiologists, neurologists, respiratory therapists, NICU nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.

·         Provide counseling and education to parents regarding neonatal conditions, treatment options, and discharge planning.

·         Participate in neonatal transport services where applicable.

·         Supervise junior physicians, residents, fellows, and medical students.

·         Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, mortality reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and infection prevention programs.

·         Contribute to academic teaching, clinical research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.

·         Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and international accreditation standards.

·         Advanced expertise in neonatal intensive care and neonatal resuscitation.

·         Strong clinical decision-making and critical care management skills.

·         Expertise in neonatal ventilation strategies and advanced life support.

·         Excellent communication and family counseling abilities.

·         Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
