## Description

We are looking for a **Civil and Structural Engineer II** to join our growing solar engineering team. The role involves delivering detailed civil and structural design solutions for both **utility-scale solar farms** and **commercial & industrial (C&I)** rooftop or ground-mounted systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on design experience, technical competence, and a collaborative mindset to support project execution from concept to construction.

**🔧 Key Responsibilities:**

**1\. Design and Documentation**

- Prepare structural calculations, foundation designs, and layout drawings for PV mounting structures, inverter platforms, fencing, drainage, roads, and cable trenches.
- Support 3D modeling and drawing development in coordination with the drafting team.
- Contribute to design reports, technical proposals, and engineering specifications in compliance with project and regulatory requirements.

**2\. Cross-Functional Coordination**

- Work closely with PV design engineers and Project Engineers to ensure integration of civil/structural elements in overall design.

- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical inputs to support internal teams and external stakeholders.

**3\. Review and Quality Checks**

- Conduct self-checks and peer reviews of drawings, calculations, and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Review subcontractor/shop drawings and material submissions with guidance from senior engineers.

**4\. Regulatory and Code Compliance**

- Ensure designs meet relevant codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, MS EN, UBC, CIDB, DOSH requirements).
- Prepare documentation required for local authority submissions and liaise with consultants if necessary.

**5\. Site and Construction Support**

- Provide support during construction phases, including responding to RFIs, conducting site visits, and verifying compliance with civil/structural design intent.

## Requirements

- **Education:**

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- (Optional but advantageous: Registered with BEM / working towards IR status.)

- **Experience:**

- **3–5 years** of civil/structural engineering experience, preferably in **solar PV** or **renewable energy** projects.
- Experience in both **rooftop and ground-mounted** systems is a plus.

- **Technical Skills:**

- Proficient in **STAAD.Pro**, **AutoCAD**, and **Microsoft Excel** for engineering calculations and documentation.
- Familiar with Civil 3D, SketchUp, or drainage/grading design tools is an added advantage.

- **Knowledge Areas:**

- Understanding of wind load, seismic, and soil-structure interaction relevant to PV structures.
- Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and soil report interpretation.
- Familiarity with pile design, structural steel, and foundation detailing.

- **Soft Skills:**

- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to team improvement initiatives.
