·        Approve and contribute to **database and platform specifications**, ensuring data integrity and adherence to standards.

·        Work closely with data governance and risk partners to ensure solutions meet regulatory, audit, and compliance expectations.

Strategic Enablement & Continuous Improvement

·        Develop and maintain **platform and technology roadmaps** aligned to EDC’s data strategy and evolving business needs.

·        Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and services through proof of technology to validate value, feasibility, and fit.

·        Minimize technical debt by driving modernization and rationalization of legacy data platforms.

·        Define and track **platform performance, cost, reliability, and adoption metrics**, contributing to service scorecards.

Data Architecture & Solution Design

·        Define, maintain, and evolve **data and analytics reference architectures**, standards, design patterns, and guiding principles.

·        Design end‑to‑end **data solution architectures**, including data flows, integrations, and platform services.

·        Conduct targeted **data exploration and analysis** to identify architectural, operational, and performance trends supporting decision‑making.

·        Partner with cloud, security, integration, and solution architects to ensure cohesive enterprise design outcomes.

Collaboration, Enablement & Leadership

·        Advise, mentor, and coach data engineers, architects, and platform administrators on standards, best practices, and design approaches.

·        Collaborate with product owners and delivery teams to plan, prioritize, and execute platform backlogs using Agile practices.
