## Description

Experience : 3+ years

Location: Mumbai- WFO

We are implementing a new weather routing/voyage optimisation service and require an experienced person to help set up to service and processes. The candidate should have experience in a similar role in voyage optimisation, have technical knowledge of how the service is delivered, and be able to manage all the questions from the crew on the routing advise.

**Job Description:**

-   Participate in building the optimisation user interface and service delivery.
-   Set up the processes for the service delivery.
-   Test the Route Optimization tool to have the best outputs that is easy to understand for various stakeholders (at Sea and at shore).
-   Onboard vessels to the service and deliver the service to the vessels.
-   Train other members of the team on voyage optimization service delivery.
-   Analyze each passage and ensure the vessel is following the best route optimized for distance, speed, weather, etc
-   Handle multiple stakeholders and share insights for the suggested optimized routes. Co-ordinate with customer / vessels and provide clarification as required to questions on the optimisation.
-   Generate reports after the completion of the voyage to show the impact of the recommendations made

**Requirements:**

-   Preferably from the deck side but anyone with 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
-   Good understanding of commercial performance- specifically good knowledge of impact of weather and routes.
-   Knowledge of IT will be helpful to understand the development side of product
-   Fluent in English, both oral and written.
-   Knowledge and ability to train other people.
