## Description

**Reports to:** Director of Growth & Lifecycle Marketing

**Location:** Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid)

_**\*Local candidates are highly preferred as we do not offer relocation assistance.**_

**Employment Type:** Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt

**About Wantable**

At Wantable, we’re redefining retail through personalization. Our membership-based model and proprietary technology empower us to curate products that help customers discover confidence and joy through style.

As a data-driven fashion company, we combine human intuition with algorithmic intelligence to  deliver personalized assortments – balancing creativity, analytics, and operational precision.

We're seeking a Senior Performance Marketing Specialist who thrives on ownership, turns insights into action, and is passionate about using experimentation, AI, and automation to drive measurable business growth.

**About The Role**

As the Senior Performance Marketing Specialist, you will own digital acquisition strategy and execution for the Wantable Edit subscription service. You'll set the testing agenda, manage significant paid media spend, and turn platform data into decisions that move CAC, CPO, and ROAS.

This role is ideal for someone who has moved past pure execution and is ready to own a channel mix, mentor others on the team, and shape how Wantable uses AI and automation to compete.

You will be the senior execution and strategy partner for the Edit business, with the judgment to step into DTC campaigns and cross-channel initiatives as needed.

This is a business-critical role with direct influence on customer acquisition, order volume, and revenue growth. You will operate in a fast-moving, sales-driven environment where priorities can change quickly, expectations are high, and strong performance has an immediate, visible impact on the business.

**What You'll Do**

**Own & Optimize Edit Campaign Strategy**

- Own strategy, daily execution, and optimization of paid search and paid social campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
- Own paid media creative briefing process in partnership with internal and external creative teams, using performance data and generative AI to identify winning concepts, hooks, formats, and creator patterns; accelerate variation testing; and establish brief standards others follow.
- Evaluate and apply automated rules, ML-driven optimizations, and platform recommendations, with the judgment to know when platform "best practice" doesn't fit Wantable's business.
- Stay on top of industry and platform trends and best practices, bringing new tactics and tools to the team before they become table stakes.

**Budget & Spend Stewardship**

- Own spend and pacing across a significant paid media budget; catch anomalies early and make the call on adjustments rather than just flagging them.
- Drive performance by leading projections, managing media investments against revenue targets, and optimizing channel mix, audiences, bidding strategies, and placements to improve traffic, ROI, and customer acquisition.
- Manage budget allocation to hit weekly, monthly, and annual order and spend targets, proactively surfacing risks and opportunities to the Director of Growth & Lifecycle with a recommended path forward, not just the problem.
- Reconcile monthly paid media spend against budget and invoices, flagging and resolving discrepancies before month-end close.

**Agency & Partner Management**

- Manage day-to-day relationships with media agency and platform partners, ensuring campaigns are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner escalations, holding agencies accountable to performance commitments and timelines.

**Testing & Experimentation Strategy**

- Design and prioritize the A/B and multivariate testing roadmap across audiences, bidding strategies, messaging, and creative.
- Evaluate and pilot AI-powered experimentation tools, building the framework for how the team identifies fast wins and scales them.
- Own influencer + paid social integration performance, including whitelisting strategy and creator content optimization.

**Analytics & Reporting**

- Own performance dashboards and reporting infrastructure using GA4, Data Studio, Tableau, and spreadsheet models.
- Build and refine AI-assisted analysis processes to detect trends, performance shifts, and optimization opportunities before they show up in the top-line numbers.
- Present insights and recommendations weekly to marketing, creative, and analytics partners, and represent performance marketing in cross-functional planning.

**E-Commerce & Conversion Strategy**

- Assess the full consumer journey for effectiveness, ensuring strong alignment between media, messaging, audience targeting, and landing page experiences.
- Serve as the translation layer between paid media performance and CRO — partnering with the Site team to turn audience and message-level insights into landing page recommendations that strengthen the Edit customer journey.
- Partner with Lifecycle and Retention team on the integration of email, SMS, and retargeting touchpoints into the Edit acquisition funnel.

**Mentorship & Cross-Team Leadership**

- Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to junior performance marketing team members.
- Serve as a thought partner to the Director of Growth on channel strategy, budget planning, and team process.
- Help evaluate and onboard new tools, platforms, and AI capabilities for the broader team.

**Additional Functions**

- Other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

## Requirements

**What We're Looking For**

- 2-5 years of experience in paid digital marketing or performance-focused roles, with a track record of owning channel strategy and budget, not just campaign execution.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, and analytics tools, with the judgment to know which platform levers actually move the business.
- Experience managing agency or platform partner relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and fluency with AI, automation tools, and spreadsheet modeling — you build the process, not just follow it.
- Experience mentoring or informally leading other marketers.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities independently, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a bias toward ownership in a high-autonomy environment.
- Passion for fashion, retail, and customer experience.

**Nice To Have**

- Experience in subscription e-commerce, DTC retail, or consumer brands.
- Experience with GA4, Looker Studio, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with creative testing frameworks and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Experience leveraging generative AI tools to accelerate campaign development, reporting, and experimentation.
- Working knowledge of Apple technology.
- Familiarity with Google products (Drive, Gmail and Docs).

**You'll Thrive Here If You**

- You enjoy owning outcomes and making decisions that directly impact business performance.
- You are energized by solving complex problems through experimentation, data, and continuous learning.
- You naturally balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and aren't afraid to dive into the details.
- You embrace change, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and remain focused under pressure.
- You proactively identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI, and smarter ways of working.
- You communicate clearly, collaborate cross-functionally, and influence others through insight rather than authority.
- You are motivated by measurable results and take pride in building scalable solutions that drive long-term growth.

**How We Work At Wantable**

- **High ownership.** You are trusted to make decisions that directly impact customer acquisition, business performance, and financial results.
- **Hard-working and hands-on.** We move quickly, stay scrappy, and focus on delivering measurable impact rather than simply completing tasks.
- **Independent thinkers.** We value people who use data, sound judgment, and experimentation to solve problems without waiting for perfect information.
- **Low bureaucracy.** We avoid unnecessary processes and empower teams to make decisions and move work forward.
- **Automation-first mindset.** We continuously improve how work gets done by embracing AI, automation, and scalable systems that increase speed and effectiveness.
- **Love of fashion & product.** We combine customer insight, creativity, and data to build experiences customers love.
- **Results over pedigree.** What you've accomplished and how you create value matters more than where you've worked.
