### About the Data Scientist Role 

As a DataDivers Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models, developing artificial intelligence solutions, performing exploratory data analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions for our customers. You will have hands-on experience in analysing large datasets, building data science models, and deriving insights. 

**Key Responsibilities:** 

-   Develop, implement, and evaluate machine learning models and AI solutions for a variety of customer solutions. 

-   Work with large datasets to clean, preprocess, and manipulate data for analysis with the assistance of the Data Engineering team. 

-   Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends that can inform business strategies. 

-   Communicate findings through clear visualisations and presentations to both technical and non-technical customer stakeholders. 

-   Contribute to the improvement of the overall data science process and help in building data-driven solutions. 

-   Continuously evaluate the performance of existing models and adjust as necessary to improve accuracy and efficiency. 

-   Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning and AI. 

Your expertise will help us ensure that we deliver leading value-driven solutions and insights for our customers. 

### About you 

**We would love to hear from you if you have:** 

-   5+ years’ professional experience in Data Science, AI engineering, or a similar role. 

-   5+ years’ proficiency in coding with Python, R or similar. 

-   5+ years’ experience with one of AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synpase, Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Oracle, Postgresql, Mysql, etc. 

-   5+ years’ coding in SQL and working with relational databases. 

-   5+ years’ hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning models and AI solutions in a production environment. 

-   5+ years’ experience implementing and designing solutions for customers utilising modern cloud and analytics platforms in one of Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, and/or Snowflake. 

-   5+ years’ business or consulting experience. 

-   Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions. 

-   Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to approach problems methodically, efficiently and ethically. 

-   Strong understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques. 

-   Strong understanding of data modelling and database design principles. 

-   Experience with data visualisation tools such Power BI. 

-   Experience of data quality and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability. 

-   High attention to detail. 

-   Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration skills. 

-   Excellent people management skills and business acumen. 

-   Minimum of a tertiary degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, science, engineering, or technology (advanced degree preferred). 

 Please note: 

-   The role is based in Perth, working with and supporting our Perth based teams.  
-   Successful candidates must be currently based in Perth and hold full Australian working rights.
