## Description

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team on a part-time basis, working three days a week. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who is looking to maintain a fulfilling career while enjoying a better work-life balance. As our Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management of the nursery, delivering high-quality care and education to our children.

In this position, you will assist the Nursery Manager in the operations of the nursery, lead a passionate team, and help foster a nurturing, stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your leadership will ensure that our educational programs are effectively implemented while cultivating strong relationships with families and staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Support the Nursery Manager in day-to-day operations and management.
-   Ensure the nursery operates in compliance with all regulations and best practices.
-   Lead and support the nursery team, overseeing their professional development.
-   Implement and review educational programs aligned with the EYFS framework.
-   Engage with parents and families to build strong, supportive relationships.
-   Act as a role model for staff and children, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education.
-   Assist with administrative and record-keeping tasks as required.

## Requirements

-   Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
-   Previous experience in a deputy or similar role within an early years setting.
-   Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
-   Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
-   A passion for working with children and supporting their development.
-   Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
-   Current DBS check and relevant training certifications.
