**Part-Time Director of Operations & Shipping – Live Auction Sales (Whatnot) | Upper East Side, NYC**

A growing company specializing in **live auction sales on Whatnot** is seeking a **Part-Time Director of Operations & Shipping** to oversee day-to-day logistics, fulfillment, and operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on, on-site role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable working **side-by-side with a live salesperson during auctions** to support real-time operations and shipping.

**Location:**  
On-site a few days per week in our office on the **Upper East Side (East 70s), Manhattan**

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Oversee all **shipping and fulfillment operations** during and after live auctions
-   Work closely **next to the live salesperson during auctions** to support real-time order flow and logistics
-   Manage inventory flow, packing processes, and carrier coordination
-   Ensure timely, accurate order processing and delivery
-   Develop and improve operational workflows and systems
-   Troubleshoot logistics issues and implement scalable solutions
-   Create and update **storefront thumbnails and visual assets** for the Whatnot app to support branding and drive engagement

**Qualifications:**

-   Proven experience in **operations, shipping, or fulfillment management**
-   Experience with **e-commerce, live selling, or high-volume order environments** strongly preferred
-   Ability to work in a **live, fast-paced sales environment alongside a salesperson**
-   Ability to create **compelling thumbnails/visuals for storefronts** (experience with Whatnot or similar platforms is a plus)
-   Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, or similar) preferred
-   Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
-   Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
