## Description

The MRDC Bus Driver provides safe bus transportation for Head Start children, assuring that each child is picked up and delivered on schedule daily. Bus Drivers:

-   Transport assigned children to and from Head Start centers efficiently and safely.
-   Ensure that all passengers wear seat belts or are placed in appropriate (age or weight) car seats and belted in.
-   Ensure that any behavioral issues do not compromise the safety of any child on the bus.
-   Ensure that each child is delivered to the care of a responsible adult (on the authorized list) upon leaving the bus.
-   Ensure that no child is ever left unattended while on the bus, following all procedures put in place to prevent a child being left behind.
-   Visually observe the health of each child on the bus.
-   Collaborate with Site Supervisor and families to design efficient bus routes.

## Requirements

-   Must have, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED.
-   Must have current CDL with Bus and Passenger endorsements.
-   Must have a clean driving record.
-   Must successfully complete a D.O.T annual physical, and a physical with TB test.
-   Must pass a criminal background check in MD and surrounding states.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.47
