## Description

We are seeking skilled and dependable Welders to join our mechanical fabrication shop. This position involves welding carbon steel and/or stainless steel components used in industrial and mechanical construction projects.

-   Perform welding on carbon steel and/or stainless steel components according to project specifications.
-   Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and measurements as required.
-   Prepare materials and joints for welding, including cleaning, fitting, and positioning components.
-   Use appropriate welding processes and equipment to produce sound, consistent welds.
-   Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
-   Identify and correct weld defects as needed.
-   Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.
-   Follow shop safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
-   Work with fabricators, fitters, and other shop personnel to meet production schedules.
-   Maintain consistent workmanship and productivity while meeting quality standards.

## Requirements

-   Previous welding experience with carbon steel and/or stainless steel preferred.
-   Ability to produce quality welds that meet applicable project requirements.
-   Ability to read fabrication drawings and welding symbols preferred.
-   Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and material preparation.
-   Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
-   Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a fabrication shop.
-   Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team.
