## Description

**Position: Intensive Care Registrar – Coastal Regional Hospital**

We are seeking a passionate and skilled **Intensive Care Registrar** to join a close-knit, high-performing ICU team at a modern regional hospital located on the stunning North Coast of New South Wales.

### About the Hospital:

This well-established, regional referral hospital is a key healthcare provider in the Northern NSW. It services a catchment area of over 55,000 residents and offers a broad range of acute care services. The Intensive Care Unit is a **Level 3 ICU** with 7 beds, providing a mix of high-dependency and intensive care services, including ventilatory support, invasive monitoring, and critical care outreach.

You will be working in a hospital known for its strong collegial culture, hands-on learning, and genuine commitment to patient-centred care. The facility is well-equipped and integrates closely with emergency and surgical services, offering a robust experience in critical care medicine.

### What You’ll Be Doing:

- Delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients under the supervision of senior intensivists
- Participating in ICU ward rounds, procedures, and multidisciplinary meetings
- Responding to MET calls and assisting with acute patient management hospital-wide
- Supporting and mentoring junior medical staff
- Participating in audit, education, and quality improvement activities

### What We’re Looking For:

- Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration
- Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience, including recent exposure to acute care or ICU
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

### Why This Role?

- Supportive team environment with a strong focus on professional development
- Exposure to a wide variety of complex cases in a generalist ICU setting
- Affordable coastal living with access to beaches, national parks, and vibrant community life
- Relocation assistance and temporary accommodation may be provided

### Location Perks:

Live and work where others holiday. Enjoy a relaxed coastal lifestyle, with short commutes, uncrowded beaches, and a strong sense of community. The town offers excellent schools, sporting facilities, and a growing cultural scene.
