### About the Role

The Senior Project Buyer is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract and purchase order negotiations and subcontractor management. The role works closely with Project Management and cross-functional teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and according to project requirements. The role also supports domestic and international logistics, including freight coordination, customs documentation, tariff regulations, HS classifications, and import/export requirements to ensure compliant and cost-effective procurement and delivery.

This role reports to the Purchasing Manager and provides purchasing and supply chain support across BOS Innovations Inc, BOS Innovations LLC and TrueLight Machine Vision Solutions Inc.

### RESPONSILITIES

-   Prequalify and source new suppliers/contractors
-   Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and external contractors; negotiate contracts and terms as required
-   Price and place purchase orders for parts; work with the Engineering group and suppliers to find alternatives that meet the project schedules
-   Outsource manufactured components as needed to meet project deadlines and capacity constraints
-   Receive and track PO acknowledgments; collaborate with the Project Managers on delayed or at-risk orders
-   Prepare Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages; evaluate bids and recommend suppliers for award
-   Interpret project schedules, assign delivery dates, and negotiate PO values to align with project timelines and budgets
-   Negotiate PO terms and conditions as needed
-   Communicate PO deliverables and updates with Project Managers to maintain schedule alignment
-   Analyze cost structures and evaluate pricing
-   Attend project-related meetings and provide purchasing updates and relevant supplier or material information
-   Follow up with suppliers on deliverables and maintain accurate updates in the ERP system on a weekly basis
-   Review and resolve invoice discrepancies
-   Track and report cost savings achieved through negotiation or alternative sourcing
-   Identify and pursue cost-reduction opportunities
-   Support initial procurement activities for long-lead and high-value items and ensure a smooth transition of S5 purchasing activities to the assigned Project buyers
-   Act as the Purchasing Manager when delegated or authorized
-   Support new departmental initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
-   Other duties as assigned

## Requirements

-   Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
-   Preference will be given to candidates with a solid background in supply chain management and a recognized certification (e.g., CSCMP, CSCP)
-   5+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role, preferably in a project-based or manufacturing environment
-   Strong understanding of procurement processes, cost structures, and price analysis
-   Strong knowledge of subcontracting processes, including subcontractor sourcing, qualification, scope review, commercial negotiations, contract administration and compliance with project requirements
-   Proficiency with ERP systems; experience with Dynamics 365 is an asset
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
-   Experience using Power BI for data analysis and reporting
-   Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
-   Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
-   Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
