**Position Purpose:**

This role is responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and handling transactions accurately. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:**

-    Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages to company standards
-    Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the POS system
-    Provide a welcoming and positive experience for all guests
-   Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including counters, equipment, and seating areas
-   Restock supplies such as cups, lids, syrups, and food items as needed
-   Assist with opening and closing duties
-   Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
-   Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
-   Adhere to all Inns of Aurora disciplinary policies and code of conduct, as outlined in the Inns of Aurora handbook.

Qualifications:

-    Previous barista, cashier, or customer service experience preferred
-   Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-   Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy setting
-   Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
-   Ability to maintain neat, professional and clean appearance and practices
-   Flexibility with hourly schedules, including weekend, holiday and evening availabilities

## Requirements

-   Ability to have a flexible schedule

**PREFERENCES**

-   1-2 years cash handling experience
-   Previous food service experience
