## Description

**Position Summary**  
AllCare is seeking an experienced Senior Phlebotomist to lead training for our phlebotomy team. This role is primarily focused on developing, standardizing, and delivering hands-on training across our facilities in Southern California — with phlebotomy skills as the foundation, not the day-to-day focus. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who wants to shift from purely clinical work into a leadership and quality-oversight role.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Travel to facilities across Southern California to train team members on-site and lead live-draw shadowing sessions
-   Train new and existing phlebotomists on proper technique, safety, and compliance standards
-   Develop and maintain training materials, curricula, and onboarding procedures for the phlebotomy team
-   Conduct competency checks and ongoing quality audits of team members' draw technique and documentation
-   Serve as a point of escalation for difficult draws or complex patient situations
-   Ensure team-wide adherence to infection control, specimen labeling, chain of custody, and HIPAA standards
-   Provide feedback and coaching to team members, partnering with management on performance concerns
-   Perform blood draws and specimen collection as needed to demonstrate technique and maintain clinical proficiency

## Requirements

-   Active California Phlebotomy Technician license (CPT1 or CPT2)
-   Minimum 8+ years of phlebotomy experience, including experience training or mentoring others
-   BLS certification (current)
-   Valid driver's license
-   Strong communication and leadership/training skills
-   Comfortable working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-draw patients
-   Experience with EHR documentation and specimen tracking systems
-   Willing and able to travel to multiple facility locations across Southern California

**Compensation**  
$40/hour

**Schedule/Type**

Full-Time — 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. Schedule may include a mix of office days, on-site training at facilities across Southern California, and time at our pharmacy.
