## Description

To lead and report on all aspects of manufacturing activity within the DDI area of responsibility. Full accountability for ensuring that agreed current and future customer quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness requirements are met.

## Requirements

•  Ensures compliance to Company Health, Quality, Safety and Environment policy.

•  Deliver products/services committed to the customers at the right time, cost, quality, and responsiveness to support their plans.

•  Utilise the standard tools, Key Performance Indicators, and processes to ensure that committed goals and improvements are achieved.

•  Executes the planning and balancing of load and capacity in the short, medium term to meet the customer demands and achieve the plant strategy.

•  Ensures that the staff are appropriately trained / supervised to carry out their roles effectively and are developed for future requirements using the company standard processes and tools.

•  Creates the environment for continuous improvement with the emphasis on sharing and searching for best practice with other areas and other internal and external networks.

•  Optimises the performance of manufacturing assets through appropriate means.

•  Leads the employee engagement activity within their area.

**What do I need to be successful?**

 **These include:**

•  Experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing industry.

•  Knowledge of SAP system.

•  Demonstrated drive and determination – will get tasks completed despite obstacles. Ownership of role. High energy level.

•  Decision Maker – needs to be decisive and capable of working off own initiative when the situation demands it.

•  People Management Skills / Communication Skills – Will be leading a team and therefore will be very good at communicating with, and motivating staff.

•  Mechanical Aptitude – will be responsible for plant improvements and problem solving on machinery.

•  Problem Solving Skills – needs an analytical approach to trouble-shooting, root cause analysis.

•  Strategic thinking and Technical Competence – candidate need to be capable of thinking about the “bigger picture”. Also considers and thinks through all options before choosing one.

•  High level of attention to detail and Excellent organizational & planning skills.

•  Innovative / creative.
