Our team combines institutional discipline with an entrepreneurial spirit, offering talented construction professionals a dynamic environment in which to grow their careers.

**Position Summary**

Forge Construction is seeking a skilled and motivated Superintendent to manage day-to-day field operations on ground-up multifamily and senior living construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating subcontractors and trades, enforcing safety and quality standards, and keeping work on schedule from site mobilization through project closeout. The ideal candidate is an experienced field leader who communicates effectively, holds trades accountable, and takes pride in delivering high-quality construction.

Key Responsibilities

•         Maintain and update the three-week look-ahead schedule in coordination with the project manager; communicate schedule needs and constraints proactively

•         Manage site logistics including staging, sequencing, material deliveries, and temporary utilities to support efficient trade workflow

•         Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; identify and communicate plan conflicts or field issues to the project manager for resolution

•         Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site at all times

•         Conduct and document regular site safety inspections and toolbox talks; ensure all personnel have completed required safety training

•         Report and document all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately; assist in incident investigations as directed

**Quality Control**

•         Perform regular quality inspections at key construction milestones; verify work meets plans, specifications, and Forge Construction standards before work is covered or accepted

•         Identify quality deficiencies and direct subcontractors to correct defective work promptly and at no additional cost

•         Support owner, architect, and third-party inspections; track and follow up on punch list items through final resolution

**Subcontractor & Trade Coordination**

•         Coordinate and direct subcontractors and trade foremen on a daily basis; conduct regular coordination meetings to review schedule, manpower, and upcoming work

•         Monitor subcontractor manpower and productivity; communicate performance concerns to the project manager in a timely manner

•         Coordinate material deliveries and equipment to ensure trades have resources needed to maintain schedule and productivity

**Documentation & Reporting**

•         Complete accurate daily field reports documenting work performed, manpower on site, weather conditions, and any notable events or issues

•         Photograph and document work in place at key milestones; support RFI and submittal processes in coordination with the project management team

•         Utilize Procore or equivalent construction management software for daily logs, inspections, and field communication

## Requirements

**Required**

•         Solid working knowledge of construction trades, means and methods, and sequencing for ground-up construction projects

•         Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules

•         Working knowledge of construction management software; Procore experience preferred

•         Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to coordinate multiple trades simultaneously

•         OSHA 30-hour certification required; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites
