**About the Role**

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join our team here at Kinisla in Ossett.

The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to support operations team in delivering to its customers with the highest quality product, on time in full while ensuring the equipment is safe in its operation for both personnel and the product it produces. 

The person performing this role will be required to perform emergency response support to operations for all equipment issues, minimising downtime and waste. They will carry out planned maintenance tasks to prevent failures of equipment during operation and bring forward improved maintenance suggestions and/or improvement initiatives to increase reliability of equipment and where possible to increase availability, improve quality and/or efficiency while at all-times ensuring safety systems is maintained or improved.     

**What will I be doing?**

-   Carrying out reactive and proactive maintenance to all site plant and equipment. 

-   Resolving equipment failures and carrying out planned and unplanned engineering tasks in a responsive and effective manner.  

-   Adherence to Safety Health & Environmental policies and procedures and carry out all tasks in a safe and controlled manner. 

-   Pro-active team working with peers, production, quality and support groups to improve equipment reliability and performance. 

-   Repairing and maintaining equipment to provide best possible equipment availability for delivering production and business needs. 

-   Taking personal accountability for providing a responsive and effective service. 

-   Actively support engineering improvements and changes to maintain and enhance their competitive edge within the group of companies and business competitors. 

-   Respond to breakdowns, systematically fault find, and identify root cause and then implement solution to prevent recurrence. 

-   Carry out planned maintenance and identify continuous improvements to increase equipment efficiency. 

-   Decisions on prioritisation when managing multiple requests for engineering support. 

-   Actively striving to identify and implement improvements both on the production lines and within the department 

-   Work with production, support groups and suppliers to implement improvement opportunities to increase equipment efficiency and safety and reduce engineering downtime. 

**What do I need to be successful?**

At Kinisla, we understand that people have very different career trajectories and experiences. In order to be successful in this role we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in a similar role and environment.

**These include:**

-   HNC in an engineering discipline - will accept lower if experience reflects
-   Relevant H&S qualifications e.g. IOSH, Confined Spaces etc.
-   Experience of fault-finding diagnostics and procedure
-   FMCG experience is desirable.
