## Description

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am–4:30pm (to be worked flexibly)  

Role Overview

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Electrical Supervisor leads and supports the Electrical Team to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient electrical and fire safety services across the estate. The role combines hands‑on planned and reactive maintenance with day‑to‑day team supervision. Flexibility is essential, including providing cover when needed and participating in the out‑of‑hours rota.  

Key Responsibilities:

_Team Leadership_

-   Lead the Electrical Team through day‑to‑day supervision, line management, and workforce planning including timesheet reviews and authorisation
-   Conduct performance reviews, manage personal development plans, and identify training needs
-   Involvement in all recruitment activities relating to our electrical team

_Operational Delivery_

-   Deliver planned preventative maintenance, reactive tasks, and emergency response
-   Participate in the on‑call rota
-   Ensure efficient working practices and high‑quality outcomes across all electrical tasks

_Compliance & Safety Management_

-   Act as Principal Duty Holder for NICEIC and BAFE (QS), ensuring all associated responsibilities are met
-   Maintain legal and safety compliance through RAMS reviews, COSHH oversight, and sign‑off of audited compliance paperwork

 _Quality Assurance & Technical Investigation_

-   Conduct quality checks on internal and external works
-   Lead investigations into complex technical issues across the Sewell estate
-   Review electrical tasks, works, and quotations to ensure accuracy and suitability 

_Stakeholder & Customer Engagement_

-   Work closely with the Customer Care Team, Facilities Managers, Projects Team, and subject matter experts to ensure customer needs are met
-   Coordinate M&E team communication through regular huddles and updates
-   Act as a key holder for Sewell properties

_Contractor & Supplier Management_

-   Manage external contractors including performance monitoring and quality assurance
-   Review subcontractor quotes, invoices, and documentation
-   Negotiate pricing with suppliers to ensure value for money

_Commercial & Quotation Responsibilities_

-   Prepare and review electrical quotations and support the compilation of information proposals
-   Provide technical input to commercial decisions and project planning

## Requirements

_Essential:  
_

-   A satisfactory Enhanced DBS (criminal background) check
-   Full Driving License, valid in the UK
-   Be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
-   Have a proactive attitude towards maintaining buildings at a world class quality level
-   Sets the tone for the team by modelling professionalism, accountability, and high performance
-   Hold excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
-   Possess good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks
-   Possess a positive approach to learning, development, and progression
-   Hold 18th Edition electrical wiring
-   Hold City & Guilds 2391-52l inspection and testing
-   Have previous experience working in a maintenance environment
-   Have a flexible outlook towards hours worked (out of hours working may be required)
-   Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practices

Desirable:

-   Be First Aid at Work trained
-   Hold unit 1, 2 and 5 BAFE accreditations
-   Be a recognised NICEIC/NAPIT Qualifying supervisor
-   Be a recognised BAFE (FA Maint) Qualifying supervisor
